Professor Marcel Dinger PhD GAICD

Marcel is Professor and Head of School for Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences at the University of NSW (UNSW), Sydney. He has more than 20 years' experience in genomics as both an academic and entrepreneur.

Marcel has published over 150 papers that have collectively been cited more than 23,000 times. He is co-founder of four startups in biotechnology and IT. This includes Genome.One, which was one of the first organisations in the world to provide clinical whole genome sequencing services.

Marcel is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sciences of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and a Graduate of the Institute of Company Directors. He is on the Board of Directors of GenieUs Genomics, Pryzm Health, National Centre for Indigenous Genomics, and Scientia Clinical Research.
