I'm fundraising for children with dementia
Right now, thousands of children are suffering and dying slowly with dementia and most people don't know it.
In Australia, a baby is born every 3 days with a childhood dementia disorder from which they will die. 50% of these children will die before their 10th birthday and 70% before they reach adulthood. Childhood dementia causes a similar number of deaths in Australia to childhood cancer for patients aged 0-14 years. Yet most people are unaware of it.
These children will stop recognising their parents and those that love them most, they will lose the ability to talk and walk, they will not only die prematurely but they will endure pain and suffering in their too short lives. Their families bear the burden of their immense care requirements while they endure the incomprehensible grief of watching their children die slowly.
Creating awareness and fundraising is a powerful way to help these children and their families.
Each dollar that you give makes a difference, and it all goes directly to the work of making the world a better place for children with dementia, now and for the generations to come.
Please support our fundraising efforts by making a donation today.
