April 2023: A new report summarises the outcomes and feedback from the second Childhood Dementia Symposium which was held in Sydney in March 2023.

The research symposium was attended by 100 clinicians, researchers, industry, and patient representatives, all in person in Sydney. Its purpose is to accelerate the availability of treatments for children with dementia.

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive with 100% of attendees rating the content and speakers as excellent or very good.

“The 2023 Childhood Dementia Symposium will help inform research strategy going forward and we know attendees valued making new connections. This Symposium will no doubt deliver enduring benefits and accelerate research in the years to come,” said Childhood Dementia Initiative’s Head of Research, Dr Kris Elvidge.

Three sessions of presentations inspired new ideas and provoked thoughtful discussion. Networking sessions also gave the opportunity for small groups to discuss important topics.
